Aqua Net

What if your 2 year old niece decided to get a pen and do some doodling on your laptop? What do you do?

For demonstration purposes, I did some more doodling myself.

Feel free to do this at home. =P

1. You get a tissue paper or dry cloth.

2. You get the almost forgotten hair spray in your mom’s cabinet (no matter how old the bottle is)

3. Spray it generously on the doodles.

4. Count 1 to 5.

5. Wipe it out.

Tadaaaan! Good as new!!!

Learned this trick from the show How Clean is Your House? It is most useful on our leather bags. Hehehe. The benefits of being a couch patatas. :)

My Pinoy Idol

Okay, I have given this too many weeks worth of benefit of the “daw” and it really saddens me because I am a Kapuso and all that… but my impression remained the same:

Pinoy Idol is not worth watching. :(

Watching American Idol and Singapore Idol the past years has always made me excited with the idea of having a Philippine version of the show. Knowing that our country have soooooo many talented people, I was quite sure having a Philippine version of it would be a very tough and “wowing” competition.

Then came Pinoy Idol and I was quite happy it was in GMA 7. So I watched several episodes; starting from the search until tonight (I think they are already the top 12). However, instead of having a “wow” moment, I always end up being awkwardly upset that THAT is the first ever batch of Pinoy Idol. That’s it. I was kind of expecting a lot more talent.

With regard to the judges, Ogie Alcasid fits the role, he’s a very respectable singer,composer, talent, etc. So does Wyngard Tracy, who knows how to discover and build stars. Then came Jolina?!? Why her? Why? Paula Abdul… Jolina. Why? Yes, she is a very big pop star here, but then, judging and commenting on those people on singing? I also noticed that Ogie and Wyngard knows what they are saying but Jolina seems to give the impression that she’s trying too hard to give serious, authoritative comments which in the end sounds like something so senseless anyway. I do believe she has such a good personality, but really don’t think she of enough credibility to be one of the judges. Hmmm. Okay. Maybe it’s just me. Tsk tsk tsk.

Add to that the host – Raymond Gutierrez. Haay. He’s not at all like Ryan Seacrest. I think the host should have been someone refreshing, light, has kulit-factor or someone who has a lot of ad-libs to give. Raymond is more of a guy version of Ruffa’s hosting. He seems like he just wants to do his own fashion show there.

I was hesitant on blogging this, but then, I am really curious if I am just missing out on something. Am I seeing this the wrong way? Please enlighten me. =/

P.S. The only candidate I like amongst the batch is Penelope. To think she’s the youngest contestant (16 years old?). I just watch the show when it’s her turn to sing. Maybe I should start voting for her too. Php2.50 ba per text? =P

What is Globalization?

It’s when you order online;

Then you are forced to use your sister’s US address because the online shop only allow shipments TO and FROM the USA;

Then you wait 3 days for the package to get picked up for shipping;

Then they finally give you a tracking number in FEDEX stating:

Date/time: June 11, 2008 10:37 AM

Activity: Left Origin

Location: Suzhou China

And once again you can’t help but sing “oooh, baby, baby, it’s a wild world...”
